In large Storage Area Networks (SANs) disks will be added and removed during operation. Efficient discovery is essential to maintain performance during the hot insertion or removal of disks. This webinar describes the topology discovery application for a SAN using a Serial Attached SCSI expander network. It analyzes the discovery performance benefit of self-configuring expanders as compared with non-self configuring ones.
